Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information this app collects, why, and what your choices are. It works alongside the Cookie Policy, which covers cookies and similar local storage specifically.

What's stored on your device

Most of the app's data never leaves your browser. It's kept in your browser's local storage, not sent anywhere:

• Your quiz history, scores, and per-category stats
• Your quiz settings (topics, mode, theme)
• Questions you've flagged locally and when you last saw each question
• Your ad-free purchase status (a signed token, if you've purchased ad-free)
• Your cookie consent choice

Clearing your browser's site data for this app removes all of the above.

What's sent to our server

A small serverless backend (hosted on Netlify) handles the few things that genuinely need to be seen across visitors or verified server-side:

• Question reports — if you flag a question, the question ID, category, your selected reason/note, and (if you're using the app when you do it) no personal identifiers are sent, unless you choose to include something identifying in your note.
• Feedback — the message you type, and an email address only if you choose to provide one (e.g. so we can reply).
• Ad-free purchases — handled by Stripe (see below). We only receive confirmation that a purchase was completed, plus the email you give Stripe at checkout, so a "restore purchase" lookup can work on a new device.

None of this is sold, shared with advertisers, or used for anything beyond running the app and improving the question bank.

Payments

Ad-free purchases are processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details — Stripe's own privacy policy governs how they handle your payment information.

Ads

The free tier shows short ads during practice mode. Ad delivery uses Google's IMA SDK and a third-party ad network, which may set their own cookies for ad delivery and (depending on the network) frequency capping or basic ad measurement. This only loads if you've accepted optional cookies — see the Cookie Policy. If you decline, you'll still see the same ad-break pacing, but without the ad SDK loading.

Your rights

Since almost everything is stored locally on your device, you're already in control — clearing your browser storage deletes it. For anything held on our server (a report or feedback message you submitted), you can ask us to locate or delete it by emailing t2revision@vinny.ie or via the in-app "Send feedback" link, referencing what you submitted and when.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the "last updated" date above.
